Hoshiarpur: To make the de-addiction campaign 'Mission Smile 3.0' effective at the grassroots level, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mrs. Gursimranjit Kaur today visited the special help desk set up in her office. During her visit, SDM Gursimranjit Kaur interacted with the counselors deployed at the help desk and reviewed the ongoing work. She commended the efforts of Counselor Chandan, Counselor Rajwinder Kaur, and Counselor Tarun Prakash present on the spot.
Mrs. Gursimranjit Kaur stated that the administration's primary objective is to integrate drug addicts into the mainstream of society. She explained that this help desk is not only raising awareness among people but also providing them with mental support.
She appealed to the public to seek the counselors' help without any fear, so that a healthy society can be built. On this occasion, the counselors gave detailed information to the SDM about the cases received for counseling till now and the progress of the mission. Giving information in this regard, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Swati Shehmar said that for the last two years, under the Mission Smile 3.0, under the drug de-addiction campaign, the District Drug De-addiction Rehabilitation Society, Hoshiarpur, has been making people aware about the ill effects of drug addiction and its treatment through public counseling and awareness across the district and through help desks at public places. During this, people are made aware through public counseling by the counselors and team under the District Drug De-addiction Rehabilitation Society, Hoshiarpur.
