Derabassi/Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 06, 2026:- As part of the special awareness campaign launched by the Punjab Government dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, a 30-minute special documentary film was screened via LED screens in Bhagwasi and Tofapur villages of Derabassi block.
Sharing details, Derabassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa stated that the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj deliver a profound message of equality, brotherhood, universal oneness, and the eradication of social evils. The objective of the Punjab Government behind screening this documentary across villages is to acquaint the public, especially the youth, with the Guru's life, philosophy, and humanitarian vision.
He added that the 30-minute documentary effectively conveys Guru Ji's glorious message of equality, harmony, and communal unity. Residents of Bhagwasi and Tofapur attended the screening, resolving to adopt Guru Ji's teachings in their lives while appreciating the Punjab Government's initiative. The MLA remarked that Guru Ji's teachings remain deeply relevant today, and spreading this message of equality across all sections of society is a collective responsibility.
