Ambala, February 21 (Paigam-E-Jagat) — SA Jain College, Ambala city’s Indian Knowledge Tradition Cell, Hindi and Punjabi Department jointly organized a one-day interdisciplinary national seminar on “Indian Knowledge Tradition: In the Context of Literature, Society and Science” with the financial support of Haryana Sahitya and Sanskriti Academy.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, Executive Vice President of the Academy, as the Chief Guest and Dr. Chittaranjan Dayal Singh Kaushal, In-charge of Sanskrit Cell, as the Special Guest. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Babu Ram, Former Head of Hindi Department of Kurukshetra University. College Principal Dr. Abha Bansal welcomed the guests and shared her views on various aspects of Indian Knowledge Tradition and Culture.
Dr. Agnihotri highlighted the literary, social and scientific aspects of the Indian knowledge tradition, while Dr. Kaushal highlighted its relevance in modern times. Keynote speaker Dr. Babu Ram elaborated on topics like social equality, nature conservation, Gurukul education system and life values.
The first technical session of the seminar was chaired by Dr. Jawahar Lal (MN College, Shahabad), while the co-chairperson was Dr. Dharamvir (Kurukshetra University). In the second session, Prof. Suresh Kumar (Government College Ambala Cantt) was the chairperson and Dr. Neelam Rani was the co-chairperson.
In the third session, Dr. Satbir Singh (SD College Ambala Cantt) chaired, while in the fourth session, Dr. Rajesh Singh (RKSD College Kaithal) played the role of chairperson. In the farewell session, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor of Hindi Department, Panjab University, inspired to put life values ??into practice.
The summary report of the seminar was presented by Coordinator Dr. Anil Tomar and Dr. Baljit Singh proposed the vote of thanks. The stage was moderated by Dr. Balwan Singh Aujla and Dr. Sunil Kajal.
According to the organizers, 135 scholars from across the country presented their research papers in this one-day national seminar.
