Ratia, October 5 (Advocate Gurpreet Singh Mander):- On the occasion of International Teachers’ Day, Hindi teacher Pradeep Kumar Shastri of Sainik School Khara Kheri was honoured with the Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan Award for his notable contribution to education and the Hindi language at the National Teacher Honour Ceremony and Education Advancement Seminar organised by Chaudhary Kehar Singh Educational Trust, Baraut-Baghpat.
The ceremony was organised at the auditorium of Medicity Hospital premises in Baraut, Baghpat district, Uttar Pradesh. Teachers from various states and prominent personalities associated with the education sector were honoured for their outstanding academic work, innovations and contribution towards promoting education in society.
The chief guests at the ceremony were Baraut Assembly constituency MLA and Minister of State in the Uttar Pradesh Government K.P. Malik, Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission member Manisha Ahlawat, while Baghpat police officer Suraj Rai was the special guest. They described teachers as an important link in nation and society building and laid special emphasis on quality education and the overall development of students.
Educationists from the Ratia region, Dr Naib Singh Mander and Sushil Azad, extended their best wishes and said that the honour was a matter of pride for the people of the Ratia region.
On this occasion, Ratia resident and Hindi teacher at Sainik School Khara Kheri, Pradeep Kumar Shastri, was presented the National Teacher Honour. After receiving the honour, Shastri said that a teacher’s responsibility is not limited to completing the curriculum, but also includes developing values, sensitivity, creativity and a sense of responsibility towards the nation among students.
Pradeep Kumar Shastri has been actively contributing to the field of education along with his dedication to the Hindi language and literature. Following his honour, people associated with the education sector, colleagues and well-wishers congratulated him and wished him a bright future.
Office-bearers of Chaudhary Kehar Singh Educational Trust, along with several eminent personalities associated with the education and social sectors, were present at the programme.
