Hoshiarpur:- Under Samgar Shiksha 2025-26, an orientation program was organized for teachers of primary, middle, high and senior secondary schools of district Hoshiarpur at Government Senior Secondary School Railway Mandi, Hoshiarpur on various schemes related to 'Safety and Security' such as POSCO Act 2012, and Juvenile Justice Act 2015, Child and Adolescent Act 1986 (Amended 2016), Protection of Child Rights (CPCR Act 2005), RTE Act 2009, Supreme Court decisions, NDMA guidelines 2016, Safety and Security guidelines 2021, Road safety etc.
In this program, District Child Protection Officer Dr. Harpreet Kaur gave information about the Juvenile Justice Act 2015, POCSO Act 2012, Sponsorship Foster Care Scheme, Child Marriage Prevention Act, 2006 and the ill effects of child begging regarding the safety and care of children. Apart from this, information was given about the school buses checked under the Safe School Vehicle Scheme in the schools of the district.
