Patiala:- Today, cyber crimes are increasing rapidly in all countries of the world and in India because people are using mobile phones and making money transactions without knowledge and safety rules and laws. Cyber ??security is also decreasing among children and youth. This idea was given by Punjab Police Cyber ??Security Inspector Taranpreet Kaur during a seminar organized at the DBG meeting 'Let's celebrate Diwali and festivals without pollution, sweets and foreign objects' at Bhasha Bhawan.
She said that people are getting trapped in cyber frauds due to greed, fear or trust and ignorance. She said that if a video call comes from an unknown number, then do not attend it. If you attend, then keep your finger on the camera so that your face does not go to them.
He said that most people are transferring their wealth to the accounts of criminals due to fear of digital arrest or fake police officers or fake judges who scare them on mobile. Whereas, information about these should be given immediately to the police station or helpline number 1930. Criminals rob people by creating trust by pretending to be relatives or friends.
He said that victims of cyber fraud should immediately send complete information and screenshots to the police on number 1930. He said that retired people are falling victim to frauds because they trust quickly. President of the organization Dr. Rakesh Vermi, Secretary Harpreet Singh Sandhu thanked them and said that the police are our friends and protectors, we should live our lives by following these rules, laws and principles.
No one should be cheated, dishonestly manipulated because such people are always afraid and restless and are prone to diseases. Inspector Taranpreet Kaur was honored by the organization. Everyone was requested not to use firecrackers, bombs and sweets on the occasion of Diwali and other festivals.
