Chandigarh, July 23:- With the aim of giving a new direction to social harmony in Haryana, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini is continuously accelerating the campaign to take the teachings of saints and great men to every household. Continuing this tradition started by the then Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal in the year 2014, Shri Naib Singh Saini has given the message of social unity by participating in the birth anniversary celebrations of great men not only in Haryana but also in Rajasthan, Punjab and Delhi. His simplicity, ease and sociable personality have created a special identity among all sections of the society.
The Chief Minister believes that saints and great men do not belong to any one caste, class or community, but their thoughts are a source of inspiration for the entire human society. His teachings are as relevant today as they were in his time.
Following the basic mantra of "Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek", the Haryana Government is strengthening social harmony by organizing the Jayanti of Saints and the Parkash Purab of Sikh Gurus at the government level.
In the year 2015, the then Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal started celebrating Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti at the government level for the first time. Continuing the same series, now the Jayantis of many Saints and Great People including Sant Shiromani Ravidas, Sant Kabirdas, Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar are being celebrated with full respect at the government level. Budgetary provision has been made for these events and they have been given a place as special days in the annual calendar of the state government.
Haryana has become the first state in the country where the birth anniversaries of various saints and great men are regularly organized at the government level. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has also made the birth anniversaries of Sikh Gurus a part of the government celebrations. Special train services have also been run under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme for the convenience of devotees.

Thoughts of great men are reaching every household with 'Sant Mahapurakh Samman Ae Wichar Prasar Yojana'
With the aim of connecting the younger generation with the life, ideals and teachings of saints and great men, the state government has launched 'Sant Mahapurakh Samman Ae Wichar Prasar Yojana'. Under this scheme, the thoughts of great men are being widely propagated by organizing programs at the state, district and block levels.

The Department of Information, Public Relations and Language is also taking the message of social harmony to every household through this scheme. These efforts of the Chief Minister are receiving a huge response from different sections of the society, social organizations, religious leaders and intellectuals. These initiatives have laid an important foundation towards further strengthening social harmony, brotherhood and cultural unity in Haryana.
