Hansi: On Thursday, MLA Vinod Bhayana inaugurated the scheduled halt of the Hisar-Indore train in Hansi and subsequently flagged off the service. Upon the train's arrival at the Hansi Railway Station, the passengers and the train crew were accorded a grand welcome, marked by a shower of flowers. Numerous dignitaries from the region were present to witness this historic moment.
MLA Vinod Bhayana appeared visibly elated over the introduction of a scheduled halt for this long-distance train in Hansi.
Addressing the gathering during the event, he stated that a long-standing demand of the people of Hansi—spanning several years—has finally been fulfilled today. He mentioned that a letter had been written to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, requesting scheduled halts for several long-distance trains as well as the introduction of new train services. The results of those efforts are now becoming evident. He expressed his firm confidence that, in the very near future, scheduled halts for other long-distance trains and the operation of new services—in line with public demands—would also commence. The scheduled halt of the Indore-Hisar Express train will prove beneficial for passengers traveling to Mathura, Vrindavan, and Ujjain. Previously, passengers had to change trains in Delhi to reach these religious destinations; now, they will be able to travel directly to these places, thereby saving both time and money.
The MLA further informed that the Hisar-Indore Express train will operate from Hisar three days a week. Its scheduled departure time from Hisar has been set for 1:20 PM; after making a scheduled halt at the Hansi Railway Station, the train will reach Indore the following morning at approximately 7:00 AM.
MLA Vinod Bhayana noted that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced plans in the Haryana budget to develop Hansi into a 'Model District.' Consequently, Hansi is poised to witness accelerated development in the coming times. He also mentioned that the Hansi Railway Station is currently undergoing expansion and upgradation work, being carried out at an estimated cost of ?18 crore. All modern amenities will be available to passengers here, and very soon, this railway station will be upgraded to a junction.
