Karnal, October 31: The monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee was held on Friday at the Panchayat Bhawan under the chairmanship of Haryana's Public Health and Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa. The meeting's agenda included five old and eight new complaints, of which five were resolved.
Minister Ranbir Gangwa urged officials to avoid unnecessary delays in resolving public issues. He urged them to resolve their problems as quickly as possible. There should be no such attitude that whenever a complaint is brought to the Grievance Redressal Committee meeting, it is resolved, otherwise it is kept pending. This will not be tolerated at all.
Regarding Maninder of Ramnagar, Karnal, complaining about ration being usurped using a fake ration card, the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) informed that an investigation had revealed that seven people were under-distributed rations. Since the department did not have data for the year 2018-19 and beyond, correspondence was made with the Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Chandigarh.
The headquarters has formed a six-member team to obtain records of ration cards/family details, Aadhaar cards, mobile numbers, etc., from January 17 to December 2022 and submit a final report. The matter was postponed until the next meeting. Regarding the case of two schools operating in violation of regulations in Madan Town resident Kabir Singh Sachdeva's street number four, the Minister ordered the Education Officer to investigate the relevant documents.
Satbir Singh of Indri had complained that he should be compensated for the financial loss caused by illegal parking. The Minister postponed the matter to the next meeting, stating that an appropriate decision would be taken after consultation with the concerned officials.
Regarding Balraj Sharma, a resident of Sambhali, complaining about defrauding the government by showing crops on barren land, the Minister directed the concerned officials to submit a complete report at the next meeting. Ravindra of Alipur Khalsa village complained that chemical waste from factories is dumped into the drain. This water overflows and accumulates on the roads and streets.
Responding to this, the minister directed a team comprising the District Magistrate (BDP), the Pollution Control Board, and a member of the Grievance Redressal Committee to visit the village and submit a report at the next meeting. Aman of Basant Vihar's complaint has been kept pending as he did not attend the meeting. On Krishna's complaint from Narayana village, the minister directed the Block Education Officer to investigate the reasons for the delay in the children's SLC (School of Educational Research and Training) and submit a report.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, he stated that the government is working with transparency. He has just completed one year of his third term. 46 promises have been fulfilled so far. By the end of this year, 90 promises will be fulfilled. Responding to a question, the minister urged young people not to travel abroad through illegal means but to use legitimate means. He stated that the government has provided compensation of ?15,465 crore to farmers in ten years, whereas previous governments mocked them by handing them cheques for paltry sums.
**Happy Haryana Day:
The Minister extended greetings to the people of the state on Haryana Day. Haryana has made significant progress since its inception. The Chief Minister is committed to taking the state to new heights. He stated that Haryana's contribution to achieving the dream of making India a developed nation by 2047 will be significant.
Responding to another question, he stated that ?2,100 will be distributed to eligible women starting tomorrow under the Lado Laxmi Yojana. Every eligible woman should register and avail of the benefits of the scheme.
