Patiala, July 27:- Speech competition dedicated to the memory of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Sahib Ji was organized at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Old Police Line. These competitions were organized by Chief Trainer of First Aid, Safety and Health Awareness Mission, Shri Kaka Ram Verma, under the patronage of State Awardee Principal Mrs. Mandeep Kaur Antal.
During the competitions, 36 students from 9 schools participated and paid tribute to Dr. Kalam Sahib through their feelings. The students gave information about the struggling life of Dr. Kalam Sahib, his patriotism and his contribution to making India strong in the scientific field.
The students said that Dr. Kalam Sahib faced many difficulties due to poverty in his childhood and youth, but with his hard work, dedication and dedication to the country, he became a true working son of Mother India. He left behind higher education and comfortable opportunities abroad and returned to India, worked day and night and made a significant contribution to making the country strong through missile technology and scientific achievements.
Giving information about the competitions, Coordinator Sushma, Lecturer said that by making the students aware of the lives of great revolutionaries and patriots of India, they develop courage and positive thinking to face difficulties. This motivates them to stay away from drugs and crimes and become good citizens of the country.
On this occasion, Mrs. Ravinder Kaur Sidhu, Jarnail Singh, Sukhnaib Singh and Alka Arora told that on 27 July 2015, Dr. Kalam Sahib was giving information about the importance of nuclear energy, atomic technology, development, prosperity, peace and tranquility, moral values ??and health to the students in a college in Shillong, where he suffered a heart attack. They said that if first aid, CPR or recovery position were provided immediately at that time, the situation could have been different.
He said that with this aim, trainings on First Aid, CPR, Fire Safety and Disaster Management are being imparted to students, teachers, police personnel and employees of industrial institutions. He said that students who save precious lives are also honored every month.
