Rattia, 4th August:- Under the "Jhonpri Se School - Shiksha Aapke Dwar" program of Lions International District 321-A3, a free eye check-up camp was organized today at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Khai, adopted by the club. Club President Lion Kapish Gupta informed that on the request of School Principal Avnish Garg, the camp was organized with the cooperation of Jain Eye Hospital. In the camp, eyes of 150 girl students were examined. In the examination, eyesight of 20 girl students was found weak, who will be provided free spectacles by the club. Club Secretary Lion Aneesh Chopra said that 150 orphan girl students study in the school and 130 girls reside in the hostel. The club has undertaken the responsibility of their living and education.
Chief Co-ordinator of "Jhonpri Se School - Shiksha Aapke Dwar" Lion Vijay Jindal said that this school has been adopted under the main project directed by District President Lion Sanjay Gandhi. Every kind of facility will be provided to the school by the club. District Secretary Lion Shiv Soni, while congratulating the club representatives, said that educating someone and making them self-reliant is the greatest virtuous deed. A commendable work has been done by the club by adopting the school, for which all members of the club deserve appreciation. Director of Jain Eye Hospital Shweta Jain said that in future also every kind of facility related to vision will be made available to the girl students free of cost.
On this occasion, all office bearers and members of the club, eye specialists of Jain Eye Hospital and school staff were present.
