Ratia, October 5 (Advocate Gurpreet Singh Mander):- On the occasion of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti, a painting competition was organised by Aggarwal Vaishya Samaj, Haryana, at DAV Public School, Ratia. Students from Classes 6 to 10 participated enthusiastically in the competition and showcased their artistic and creative talent.
The main objective of the competition was to familiarise students with the life and ideals of Maharaja Agrasen and his message of ‘One Brick–One Rupee’ for society. Students in the 11 to 18 age group beautifully depicted through their paintings Maharaja Agrasen’s life, social harmony, philanthropy, cooperation and the spirit of service to humanity.
On the occasion, Aggarwal Vaishya Samaj Ratia Assembly constituency unit President Lavkesh Mittal, Co-Patron Dr Janakraj Goyal and DAV Public School Ratia Principal Monika Khanna were present. They viewed the paintings created by the students and appreciated their creativity while encouraging them.
President Lavkesh Mittal said that the principles of Maharaja Agrasen continue to inspire society even today. He said such competitions play an important role in connecting students with his life and thoughts. He added that it was the responsibility of everyone to convey to the younger generation Maharaja Agrasen’s message of equality, cooperation and helping those in need.
Principal Monika Khanna said that such activities help develop social and moral values among students along with their artistic skills. She said DAV School students always participate enthusiastically in various competitions. She extended her best wishes to all the participating students.
The enthusiastic participation of the students made the event special. During the programme, the students brought the ideals of Maharaja Agrasen to life through their imagination and artistic expression.
