Chandigarh, October 23 - Haryana's Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa, while paying homage to Lord Vishwakarma on Vishwakarma Day, said that Lord Vishwakarma was the world's first engineer, craftsman. His life inspires us to work hard and innovate. This festival is not only an opportunity to honor artisans and laborers but also gives the message that if every work is done with dedication and devotion, then it becomes true worship. Today's day holds special significance for laborers, craftsmen, people associated with engineering and industries.
Shri Ranbir Gangwa participated as the chief guest in the program organized by Shri Vishwakarma Charitable Trust in Hisar on Wednesday on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti.
He said that Lord Vishwakarma teaches us that knowledge and technology should be used for the welfare of the society and the progress of humanity. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini have given priority to these two subjects (Skill, Development and Entrepreneurship).
He said that in today's competitive world, skill development is of utmost importance for students. To be successful and live a fulfilling life, students will have to acquire various skills. The government believes that investing in the field of skill development and entrepreneurship is an investment towards building a bright future for the country.
Moving forward with the vision of building a developed India, due to industry-friendly and labor welfare policies in the last decade, Haryana has established itself as one of the most progressive industrial powerhouses of India. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini's vision is to make Haryana a state where the youth are provided with meaningful direction, purpose and opportunities along with education. With this vision, every university has been instructed to run industry partner support programs so that the gap between education and employment can be reduced.
He said that Haryana State Research Fund has been formed to promote research. The state government is working towards establishing a model skill college and a model skill school in every district. The concept of the non-stop government is - to promote quality education, meaningful employment and innovation.
He said that the present Haryana government has established such a system for the people of the society in which educated youth can get jobs based on their ability. Giving the example of Haryana Civil Service recruitment, he said that this has been possible only in the present government where literate youth are getting jobs based on their ability. Apart from this, the government has made arrangements for reservation for the people of backward class society in Panchayats and Urban Local Corporations.
