Chandigarh, July 22:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra is not just a religious event, but a living message of Indian Sanatan culture, social harmony, service and welfare of humanity. This Yatra shows us the path of love, service, equality and national unity and works to unite the society.
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini today attended the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra organized in Rajpura, Punjab as the chief guest and congratulated and wished the devotees. On this occasion, the Chief Minister pulled the rope of Lord Jagannath's chariot and gave a message to the congregation present to adopt cleanliness by sweeping it. Bowing his head at the feet of Lord Shri Jagannath, Balabhadra Ji and Mata Subhadra, he said that Lord Shri Jagannath is the Lord of all humanity. In His court, there is no distinction of high or low, caste, class or wealth or poverty. The biggest message of the Rath Yatra is that everyone is equal before God and love, service and dedication are the basis of true devotion.
The Chief Minister said that the thousand-year-old Rath Yatra of Lord Shri Jagannath is a proud symbol of India's cultural heritage. In this Yatra, thousands of people pull the rope of the chariot together, where no one's caste, language or social status is asked. This is the living embodiment of our eternal culture and the spirit of 'Ek Bharat-Sreshtha Bharat'.
He said that India's culture has always given the message of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'. Today, when the world is facing challenges like division, violence and conflict, then the Rath Yatra of Lord Shri Jagannath gives a new direction to the entire humanity by giving the message of love, service, brotherhood and unity. On this occasion, the Chief Minister appreciated the service works of I3CON organization and said that the organization has been running a campaign for positive change in the society through Sanskar, Gau-Seva, Gita Prachar, Annadan, Yuvak Jagran and Manav Seva for the last two decades. He congratulated all the volunteers (correction: volunteers) for this great work. Many dignitaries including former Minister Shri Asim Goyal were present on the occasion.
