On March 8, workers of Punjab Subordinate Services Federation and Pensioners Association will join the gherao of the Vidhan Sabha in large numbers from Garhshankar. At this time, President of the Old Pension Restoration Struggle Committee Satpal Minhas and teacher leader Pawan Goyal said that on March 8, a large group of teachers will also leave for Chandigarh from Garhshankar.
On March 8, the march towards the Vidhan Sabha will be led by prominent employee and pensioner leaders Satish Rana and Karam Singh Dhanoa. The leaders of the demands said that the AAP government should make all kinds of raw employees permanent as per its election promises, the old pension scheme should be restored, honorarium workers should be brought under the Minimum Wage Act, action should be taken to cancel the condition of TET for teachers, a multiplier of 2.59 should be applied to pensioners.
DA and Pay Commission arrears should be released in one lump sum, regular Indian should be replaced with the contractual system, inflation should be brought under control. The leaders appealed to the employees and pensioners to participate in the Vidhan Sabha gherao in large numbers.
