Karnal Police Commended for Saving Woman from Drowning in Canal; Dial 112 Team Comes to the Rescue

Karnal, October 23 (Praveen Walia):- The Dial 112 team of Karnal District Police has performed a commendable act by promptly rescuing a woman who was drowning in a canal, demonstrating dedication to duty, alertness and human sensitivity.

Under the guidance and directions of Karnal Superintendent of Police Karan Goyal, IPS, Karnal Police continues to make sustained efforts to ensure public safety and provide prompt assistance during emergencies.

According to the information received, Dial 112 received a report that a woman had jumped into the canal near the Kachhwa canal bridge, within the jurisdiction of Ramnagar Police Station. As soon as the information was received, the Dial 112 ERV-429 team, led by ERV in-charge Sub-Inspector Dilbag Singh, swung into action and reached the spot without delay.

Searching Along the Canal for Nearly 1 Kilometre, Police Rescue Woman:

After reaching the spot, the police team began searching for the woman. The team searched along the canal bank on foot, covering nearly one kilometre. Following continuous efforts, the woman was found alive near the canal close to Kaithal Bridge.

Considering her condition, the police team promptly pulled her out of the canal without wasting any time. She was then immediately taken to Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College and Hospital, Karnal, for first aid and medical treatment.

Police Team Reaches the Spot Immediately After Receiving Information, Provides Timely Assistance:

The prompt response and sustained search efforts by the Dial 112 ERV-429 team ensured that the woman received assistance in time. Under the leadership of ERV in-charge Sub-Inspector Dilbag Singh, the police team fulfilled its responsibility with compassion and dedication to duty.

Thanks to the police personnel’s swift action, the woman was safely rescued from the canal and taken to the hospital. This is a commendable example of the police’s quick response in emergencies and commitment to public service.
