Chandigarh- The direction of the investigation into the suicide case of senior IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar of Haryana may change once again. The family of the deceased officer said that they are not satisfied with the sections mentioned in the FIR and the names included in it. The wife of the deceased and senior IAS officer in the Haryana government, Amneet P Kumar, has filed a fresh complaint with the SSP of Chandigarh Police at 12:53 am on Thursday midnight.
In the new complaint, the IAS officer has pointed out the flaws in the previously registered FIR and demanded its immediate revision and re-investigation. In a letter sent to the SSP, he said that FIR No. 156 registered at 10:22 pm on October 9 is incomplete and complete information has not been given in it.
Amneet P. Kumar alleged that the names of the main accused DGP Shatrujit Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarnia were not clearly mentioned in the FIR, whereas their names were clearly mentioned in the ‘final note’ ??left by her husband. The letter said that the copy of the FIR is incomplete and the names of the accused are not clear in it and the document also lacks many important details, which raises questions about a fair investigation.
IAS officer Amneet P. Kumar said in his letter that the sections included in the FIR are weak and the wrong section of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act has been used. He appealed that Section 3(2)(v) be applied in this case, which is applicable in serious situations related to harassment or actions against a Dalit officer. He said that to make the judicial process fair and transparent, it is necessary to properly implement the legal provisions.
