Hoshiarpur:- On the concluding day of the week-long *Srimad Bhagavat Katha Gyan Yagna* (spiritual discourse) organized by the Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan at Roshan Ground in Hoshiarpur—held from April 14 to April 20—Sadhvi Ms. Vaishnavi Bharti delivered a soulful narration of various inspiring episodes from the life of Lord Krishna. Through the episode of Rukmini's marriage (*Rukmini Vivah*), she conveyed that the Lord embraces only that soul which possesses a genuine yearning and complete surrender to attain Him.
During the discourse, while recounting the episode of the demon Bhaumasura, she stated that when sixteen thousand princesses were held captive by him, they called out to Lord Krishna. Deeming the humiliation of women to be intolerable, the Lord slew Bhaumasura and liberated all the captive women. To uphold their dignity within society, the Lord Himself bestowed His own name upon them—an act that stands as the supreme example of respect for women.
Sadhvi Ji remarked that the true state of any society can be gauged by the condition of its women. Wherever women are accorded respect, divinity resides. Citing examples from history and religious scriptures, she illustrated the pivotal role that the moral values (*samskaras*) instilled by mothers have played in the lives of great warriors and devotees.
Mentioning illustrious women such as the Rani of Jhansi, Tarabai, and Gargi, she noted that Indian history has been rich in examples of women's power (*Nari Shakti*); yet, even today, grave issues such as female feticide persist within society. She issued a fervent appeal to transform this mindset and to ensure that women are enabled to live lives of dignity. Furthermore, she emphasized that for the sake of self-defense and self-respect, women must recognize and tap into their own inner strength—a realization that is attainable through *Brahm Gyan* (Divine Knowledge).
The spiritual discourse commenced with the *Bhagavat Pujan* (worship ceremony) performed by the chief patron (*Yajman*), Manish Gupta, and his family. The occasion was graced by the presence of numerous dignitaries, public representatives, and social activists. At the conclusion of the program, the organizers felicitated the *Katha Vyas* (narrator) and her accompanying team.
