Kharar, March 21, 2026:— The ceremonial inauguration of the Idol Installation and *Pran Pratishtha* (Consecration) festival—scheduled to be held on March 26, 2026, at Shri Ram Mandir, Kharar—took place today in accordance with traditional rituals. In this regard, Shri Rohit Mishra, Press Secretary of the Shri Ram Mandir Ajj Sarovar Vikas Samiti, Kharar, shared the details.
The program commenced with a ceremonial *Ganesh Pujan* (worship of Lord Ganesha) performed by the committee's President, Shri Shashi Pal Jain, along with senior members: Shri J.P. Dhiman, Shri Anand Bansal, Shri Davinder Gupta, Shri Kulwant Chaudhary, Shri Jarinder Arora, and Shri M.S. Sandhu. Following this, the rituals associated with the *Pran Pratishtha* ceremony began, conducted strictly according to scriptural injunctions. Upon the conclusion of the worship ceremony, a grand *Kalash Yatra* (sacred procession) was organized, featuring a magnificent chariot.
This procession began at Shri Ram Bhawan, traversed through various localities of Kharar town, and concluded back at Shri Ram Bhawan. Throughout the *Kalash Yatra*, the townspeople demonstrated their faith and enthusiasm by organizing *Langar* (community meal) services, showering flowers, and offering reverent welcomes at various points along the route. The participation of women, in particular, was noteworthy.
The entire town appeared adorned with saffron flags dedicated to Lord Shri Ram, and the atmosphere remained completely steeped in devotion and the spirit of Lord Ram. Following the conclusion of the procession, the committee arranged for refreshments for all the devotees. The committee is set to organize various grand religious programs daily leading up to March 26, 2026.
These events will prominently feature a grand *Kalash Yatra*, *Bhajan-Kirtan* (devotional singing) evenings, a *Deepmala* (festival of lights) celebration, *Havan* (sacred fire rituals) and special prayers, a felicitation ceremony for the town's senior citizens, and a grand fireworks display. The committee has appealed to all residents of the town to participate in these religious events in large numbers to ensure the success of the entire program.
