Bhoonga/Garhdiwala/Hoshiarpur:- A shocking incident has been reported from Hoshiarpur, where a father allegedly murdered his 17-year-old daughter by repeatedly striking her on the neck with a sharp-edged weapon in Dhut Kalan village. The deceased has been identified as Inderpreet Kaur. After committing the crime, her father fled the spot. A police team reached the scene and initiated an investigation.
The incident took place when the girl's mother had gone out of the house for some household work. Finding his daughter alone at home, the father allegedly attacked her with sharp-edged weapons, resulting in her death on the spot. On receiving information about the incident, a police team from Haryana Police Station reached the spot and assessed the situation. The police took possession of the body and initiated further legal proceedings. The accused father managed to escape after committing the crime, and police teams are conducting raids to trace him. According to the police, the exact motive behind the murder has not yet been established, and the matter is being investigated thoroughly.
Inderpreet Kaur was a Class 12 student at Desh Bhagat Government Senior Secondary School, Dhut Kalan. After committing the crime, her father, Amarjit Singh, fled the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, SHO of Haryana Police Station Gurbachan Singh, Bhoonga Police Post In-charge Ajmer Singh and DSP Narinder Singh Manhas reached the crime scene along with police personnel and began investigating the case. The police are examining the scene and collecting evidence related to the incident.
It is worth mentioning that the girl was the only daughter in the family. She was allegedly murdered by her father on suspicion. The incident has once again raised serious questions about family relationships and the growing incidents of violence in society. However, the actual motive behind the murder will become clear only after the police investigation is completed. Speaking to reporters, DSP Narinder Singh Manhas said that the police had initiated action based on the statement of the girl's relative and that the accused would be arrested soon.
