New Delhi:- A Delhi court on Thursday reserved its order on framing charges against 14 accused in the NEET-UG (medical entrance examination) paper leak case. Special Judge Ajay Gupta said the order in this regard would be pronounced on November 18. Earlier this year, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had filed a chargesheet against 13 accused.

The case is currently being heard by a fast-track court dealing with criminal cases related to “paper leaks and the use of other unfair means in examinations”. The CBI has also filed a supplementary chargesheet against the 14th accused, Sheshrao Bajrang Suryawanshi (alias Raj Suryawanshi), a resident of Nanded in Maharashtra.

Suryawanshi was arrested on September 2. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate), commonly known as NEET-UG, is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for students aspiring to pursue medical studies. Amid allegations of a paper leak, the NTA had cancelled the NEET-UG examination held on May 3. A re-examination was subsequently conducted on June 21.
