Haroli/Una, October 19 (Rajveer Chopra):- NSUI is a student organisation that conducted internal organisational elections in Himachal Pradesh. All students associated with NSUI were eligible to contest elections for the post of president from their respective colleges. The election process was conducted online through the Vid NSUI app. To contest for the post of president, a candidate was required to be a student of the college from which they wished to contest.
Himanshu Pathak, a resident of Ispur village, is a student of Himcaps College of Law and has been associated with politics for a considerable period. In recognition of his working style, he was appointed General Secretary of Youth Congress Haroli in 2025.
When the NSUI elections were announced, considering Himanshu Pathak’s dedication, hard work and commitment to the organisation, he was asked to file his nomination from Himcaps College of Law by consensus. Following the announcement of the election results on the evening of October 17, 2026, he formally became the first NSUI president of Himcaps College of Law.
Alongside him, Vishal Aujla from Professor Simmi Agnihotri Degree College, Haroli, and Daman Sahota from Mohan Lal Dutt Degree College, Khad, were also elected NSUI presidents of their respective colleges.
