Kharar, September 24:- With the objective of ensuring that health services and the benefits of government health schemes reach the common people, a health card distribution function was organised at Civil Hospital Kharar under the leadership of SMO Dr. Sarita under the Chief Minister Health Scheme (MMSY). Chairman, Youth Development Board, Punjab, Parminder Singh Goldy, attended the function as the chief guest and distributed health cards to the beneficiaries.
During the function, Parminder Singh Goldy said that the Punjab Government is continuously making efforts to provide better and quality health facilities to the people. He said that ensuring the benefits of government health schemes reach every eligible family is a major priority of the government. He appealed to people to make maximum use of the health facilities and schemes being provided by the government.
On the occasion, SMO of Civil Hospital Kharar, Dr. Sarita, said that hard copies of more than 1,000 health cards under the Chief Minister Health Scheme are ready at the hospital. Eligible beneficiaries can visit Civil Hospital Kharar and collect their health cards. She appealed to people to collect their cards and avail themselves of the health facilities being provided by the government.
During the function, along with distributing cards to the beneficiaries, the Health Department also provided necessary information regarding the Chief Minister Health Scheme and other government health facilities. The people present were also informed about the benefits of the scheme and the use of the cards.
Block Samiti Kharar Chairman Raghubir Singh Modi, AAP Assembly Constituency Media In-charge Baljit Singh, Ram Saroop, Anju Chandra, former President, Municipal Council Kharar, Bittu Jain, Yashpal Bansal, Constituency Chairman, Punjab State Trading Commission, and Sukhwinder Singh Dimple, besides party leaders, volunteers and a large number of local residents, were present on the occasion.
From the Health Department, Dr. Sarita, SMO, Dr. Raman, Dr. Sukhjit Bawa, Dr. Ishant, Dr. Sukhman and Dr. Rahul Bhalla, along with other staff members, were also specially present.
