Chandigarh, August 3:- Haryana Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma has congratulated all the players, their coaches and family members who made the state proud by winning a total of 11 medals including 7 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze in the Commonwealth Games. He said that the players of Haryana have once again made the name of the state bright at the global level on the strength of their talent, discipline and hard work. This historic achievement of the players is a matter of pride and inspiration for the entire state.
Dr. Arvind Sharma said that winning eleven medals including seven gold medals is a matter of pride for Haryana. The players have once again proved that there is no dearth of talents on the land of Haryana. With hard work, discipline and determination, the players of the state have brought glory to the country and Haryana on the world's biggest sports stage.
He said that the role of the daughters of Haryana is also very important in this achievement. The female players not only won medals with their excellent performance, but also set a new example before the daughters of the state. Their success sends a message that if daughters get an opportunity and the right platform, they can increase the pride of the country in every field.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a positive atmosphere has been created in the country towards sports. With initiatives like Khelo India and the encouragement being given to the players, the sports talents of the country are getting an opportunity to move forward. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the Haryana Government is continuously working to provide better facilities and incentives to the players. He said that this achievement of the players of Haryana is not just a number of medals, but it is a testament to the state's sports talent, hard work and strong willpower.
Coming out of villages and small towns, the players are today raising the glory of the tricolor on the international stage.
