Chandigarh, November 3 - The Haryana Cabinet meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini approved the proposal to amend the Policy for Purchase of Land Voluntary Allotment to Departments, Government Institutions, Boards, Corporations and Government Companies under Development Projects, 2025.
Under the amendment, a new provision related to consent/proposal has been added in sub-paragraph 4.1 of paragraph 4 of the said policy. According to this provision, if a land owner uploads his consent on the e-Bhoomi portal himself or through an aggregator and he fulfills all the conditions mentioned in sub-paragraphs 5(jj) and (jjj)/6(jj) and (jjj), then such consent will be considered valid.
Earlier, under the existing provisions, a land owner (both himself and through an aggregator) could offer his land on the e-Bhoomi portal only at a maximum rate of three times the Collector Rate of the concerned district, as fixed under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899.
This restriction on offering rates only up to three times the Collector Rate was posing a challenge in obtaining offers for existing land, especially from those villages where the Collector Rates are significantly lower than the market rates as per the policy.
