Hansi, September 15:- With the objective of familiarising students with the functioning of the administration and enabling them to independently avail themselves of government schemes and services, the ‘Introduction to Administration’ campaign is being launched in Hansi district. With this initiative, Hansi has become the fourth district in the state where this campaign is being launched. The campaign will commence on Thursday.
To review preparations for the campaign, Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakshit Sareen chaired a meeting of officers from various departments in the auditorium located at the District Secretariat complex on Tuesday. He issued necessary directions to the concerned officers for the successful implementation of the campaign and instructed them to discharge their respective responsibilities with full dedication and accountability.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakshit Sareen considers this campaign his dream project. Earlier, in the districts where he had worked, he had also ensured that the campaign was implemented on a priority basis. After Panchkula, Sonipat and Sirsa, he has now taken a special initiative to extend the benefits of this programme to students in Hansi as well.
ADC Lakshit Sareen said that the objective of the ‘Introduction to Administration’ campaign is not merely to take students on visits to government offices, but to provide them with a practical opportunity to understand the administrative system. This will enhance students’ awareness of the government system and enable them to better understand government schemes, services and the functioning of various departments in the future.
He said that once students know which department is responsible for a particular task, how government services can be accessed and what the procedure is for availing benefits under various schemes, they will be able to access government services themselves without any intermediary or unnecessary assistance. This initiative will prove to be an important step towards making students aware, self-reliant and responsible citizens.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that students of Classes 10, 11 and 12 from government schools are being included in the first phase of the campaign. Students of Rajkiya Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School Hansi, Model Sanskriti Rajkiya Senior Secondary School Sisai, PM Shri Rajkiya Senior Secondary School Puththi Mangal Khan and PM Shri Rajkiya Senior Secondary School Bhatol Kharkara have been selected for the first phase. Students of private schools will also be associated with the campaign in subsequent phases.
During the campaign, students will be provided information about the functioning of various government offices, responsibilities of departments, government schemes and public welfare services. In addition, students will also be familiarised with various industries and industrial activities operating in the district, so that they can understand not only the administrative system but also the economic and industrial profile of the district.
ADC Lakshit Sareen directed the officers to make every programme organised for students practical, informative and interactive so that students participate with interest and derive real benefit from it. He said that the success of the campaign would depend on mutual coordination and active participation of all concerned departments.
He said that connecting students with the functioning of the administration at an early stage would make them more aware of their rights, duties and government facilities in the future. The campaign will play an important role in developing positive thinking in society and making students responsible citizens.
CTM Himanshu Chauhan, DSP Vinod Shankar Bhardwaj, District Elementary Education Officer Vinod Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Suresh Kumar, Executive Officer of the Municipal Council Rajendra Soni and concerned officers from various departments were present at the meeting.
