Patiala:- Mrs. Dolly, Principal of Atma Ram Kumar Sabha Senior Secondary School, Patiala, envisions that along with quality education, moral values, discipline, and character building, students should be prepared as helpful guardian angels to save precious lives and properties during natural, seasonal, and man-made disasters, as well as domestic mishaps.
 For this purpose, as per the orders of the National Human Rights Commission, Chief Secretary of Punjab, and District Education Officer Patiala, on the occasion of International Disaster Management Day, Mr. Kaka Ram Verma, Chief Trainer of First Aid, Safety, and Health Awareness Mission, was invited to the school.
 He was called to provide information to students and teachers on reducing life and property losses during gas leaks, short circuits, and fires caused by petroleum or inflammable substances at homes, shops, institutions, vehicles, and commercial establishments, and to guide them on calling the police, ambulances, and fire brigade through helpline numbers.
Mr. Kaka Ram Verma gave examples and explained that due to a lack of training and practice, thousands of lives and properties are lost daily across the country and the world due to fires, smoke, electricity, extreme heat, heatwaves, sunstrokes, brain hemorrhages, fainting, comas, dehydration, and drops in blood pressure or sugar levels. He taught methods to prevent domestic mishaps and shared techniques to survive, rescue, and save victims during emergencies by administering First Aid, CPR, recovery position, and ventilator artificial respiration.
Expressing their gratitude, the Principal, teachers, and students remarked that if the deaths of lakhs of people and property losses can be prevented through training, practice, and mock drills, then helpful guardian angels should be prepared in every household, commercial establishment, and educational institution by imparting training in disaster management, civil defense, first aid, and fire safety. 
The Principal requested that camps be organized to provide five-day training in disaster management, first aid, and fire safety to their students, teachers, local shopkeepers, and some parents, to turn them into guardian angels who can help victims and the administration to save precious lives and properties during future natural, seasonal, and man-made disasters, wars, or pandemics.
