Santoshgarh/Una, March 26 (Rajveer Chopra):- On Thursday, a grand procession was organized as part of the ongoing festivities marking Ram Navami at the Thakurdwara Gita Bhawan Temple, under the aegis of the Santoshgarh Municipal Council. Hundreds of devotees participated in the event with great enthusiasm. Throughout the procession, the entire atmosphere became imbued with devotion, resonating with chants glorifying Lord Shri Ram.
To ensure the successful organization of the procession, various Hindu organizations—including the Bajrang Dal—conducted a door-to-door campaign to personally invite devotees. On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, several other religious programs were also held across the town, in which the public participated with great fervor.
Marking the conclusion of the Navratri festival, a 'Kanya Pujan' (worship of young girls) ceremony was organized, wherein young girls were formally worshipped and offered a ceremonial meal. At the Gita Bhawan Temple, devotees celebrated the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram with deep reverence and devotion.
The procession commenced from the Thakurdwara Gita Bhawan Temple, featuring beautifully adorned tableaux depicting Lord Shri Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman. At various locations throughout the town, devotees accorded a magnificent welcome to the procession by showering it with flowers.
Throughout the event, devotees moved forward singing hymns (bhajans and kirtans), dancing, and raising loud slogans of "Jai Shri Ram." Upon the procession's return to the temple, prayers and rituals were performed for Ramlala Maharaj, followed by the distribution of *Prasad* (sacred food offering).
Present on this occasion were hundreds of town residents, alongside the committee office-bearers, including Shashi Chhabba, Lakshman Saini, Pravesh Kaushal, Satish Kaushal, and Pawan Kaushal.
