S.A.S. Nagar:- A grand Jagg and Gurmat Samagam (religious congregation) were organized at the historic martyrdom site of the great Amar Shaheed Jathedar Baba Hanuman Singh Ji, Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan, Sohana. The event celebrated the completion of the 5959th Sri Akhand Path Sahib of the 59th series of the eternal chain, which has been continuing uninterrupted since November 29, 1993, as per the divine words of the late Brahmgyani Sant Baba Ajit Singh Ji Hansali Wale.
The Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib was performed at 9:00 AM, followed by a day-long Gurmat Samagam. The International Dhadi Jatha of Bibi Rajwant Kaur and the group from Sri Fatehgarh Sahib informed the congregation in detail about the Dhur Ki Bani enshrined in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji through Dhadi ballads. Bhai Amandeep Singh, Hazuri Ragi from Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, enthralled the congregation with soul-stirring Kirtan. Prominent preacher Bhai Gurbhej Singh Rani Majra emphasized the importance of Amrit (the nectar of initiation) and encouraged the congregation to take Amrit and become disciples of the Guru.
In addition, several other preachers and Jathas, including Bhai Manpreet Singh, Bhai Santokh Singh, Bhai Ranjit Singh, Bhai Satwant Singh (Patiala), Bhai Mandeep Singh (Pehowa), Bhai Rajinder Singh (Ludhiana), Akal Kavishri Jatha, Mitar Piare Nu Kirtani Jatha, Shere Punjab Kavishri Jatha, and Bhai Harpreet Singh’s Jatha, along with the Hazuri Jathas of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan—Bhai Gurmit Singh, Bhai Jaswant Singh, Bhai Inderjit Singh, Bhai Baljinder Singh, and Bhai Sandeep Singh—blessed the congregation through Katha, Kirtan, and Kavishri. All participating Jathas were honored with Siropao.
The inner sanctum of the Darbar Sahib was specially decorated with flowers, and the exterior path leading to the gate was beautifully illuminated and adorned. Thousands of devotees took a holy dip in the sacred Sarovar (pool). Sant Baba Paramjit Singh Ji Hansali Wale and several other dignitaries visited the site. A medical camp was organized where expert doctors examined patients, and free medicines were provided by the Gurdwara Management Committee. Ladoo, Jalebi, and various sweets were served, and Guru Ka Langar (community kitchen) was offered to the thousands in attendance.
The spokesperson for the Gurdwara Management Committee explained that this eternal series of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, started on the occasion of the Gurpurab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on November 29, 1993, continues without break. As per the instructions of Baba Ji, a grand religious gathering and Jagg are organized upon the completion of every 101 Sri Akhand Path Sahib readings within the series.
