Hisar: Promoting awareness about health, a free eye operation camp will be organized with a spirit of service by the Divyang Rehabilitation Centre on 26 March. In this camp, experienced and trained doctors of the Divyang Rehabilitation Centre will perform free eye surgeries. Along with this, medicines will also be provided free of cost as far as possible. During the camp, artificial limbs will also be distributed free of cost to specially abled persons.
President of Haryana Bharat Vikas Foundation Divyang Rehabilitation Centre Dr. Roshanlal Goyal, Executive President CA Ramniwas Agarwal, and Secretary Mangeram Gupta stated that such free eye operation camps receive special support from socially active and constructive-minded citizens. Many elderly people suffering from white cataract are unable to undergo eye surgery on their own.
The eyes of such elderly and other needy people are operated free of cost at the Divyang Centre. Similarly, many differently-abled persons are unable to get artificial limbs made on their own, so artificial limbs are provided to them free of cost through the centre’s artificial limb manufacturing unit.
They further informed that all modern facilities for eye examination, treatment, and surgery are available at the Divyang Rehabilitation Centre, and all procedures are carried out by experienced and trained doctors. Along with eye care services, dental treatment and physiotherapy facilities are also available at the centre.
The Lala Devichand Grover Artificial Limb Manufacturing Unit is also operational here, where artificial limbs are manufactured and provided free of cost to differently-abled persons. In addition, modular limbs are also being provided free of cost.
