Garhshankar, September 2: A farewell ceremony was organized by the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college to celebrate the joint retirement of Dr. Bimala Jaswal, Head of the Department of Post Graduate Commerce of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur, who retired after 34 years of teaching services, and Surinder Kumar Lucky, who retired after 35 years of services in the college security staff.
The Principal of the college, Parvinder Singh, while sharing the welcome words, said that Prof. Bimala Jaswal has rendered excellent teaching services in the Commerce Department and Surinder Kumar Lucky has rendered his services in the college security staff with great honesty. He appreciated the work style of both the retired employees and wished them all the best for the future.
On this occasion, Staff Secretary Dr. Aarti Sharma, Dr. Balvir Kaur, Head of Commerce Department Dr. Rakesh Kumar and Fee Clerk Avtar Singh shared their experiences with the retired officers and congratulated them on their retirement.
Dr. Bimala Jaswal shared her memories associated with the college and thanked the college management. On this occasion, the said employees were honored by the college management and the staff present. The proceedings of the stage were conducted by Dr. Aarti Sharma.
On this occasion, the treasurer of the Sikh Educational Council Virinder Sharma, family members of the retired employees including Gurdhir Singh Jaswal, Dr. Mohtesh Jaswal, Madam Shivani, Harjit Singh, Harit Jaswal, Dilwar Singh and all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution were also present.
