Karnal, July 21: Various awareness activities were organized at Government Women's College, Bastara (Gharaunda), in accordance with the directives of the Election Commission of India and as part of the ongoing special intensive voter list revision drive in Haryana.
Under the guidance of Principal Kamlesh Rani, the supervision of Mrs. Deepa Dhull, and the leadership of Assistant Professor Sandeep Kumar, the Department of Political Science and the Electoral Club organized events including essay writing, poster making, rallies, and awareness lectures.
Sandeep Kumar briefed the students on the objectives of the special intensive revision drive and the process of ensuring the voter list is error-free. He stated that the campaign aims to include every eligible citizen's name in the voter list and further strengthen the democratic process.
In the essay writing competition, Khushi (B.Com 3rd Year) secured the first position, while Kajal (B.Com 2nd Year) and Anushka secured the second and third positions, respectively.
College staff members, including Dr. Hitendra, Anuradha, Apoorva, Pooja, Mamta, Dr. Anupriya, and Sanjay Kumar, were present on the occasion.
