Chandigarh/Una, October 4 (Rajveer Chopra):- The national-level meeting of the EPS-95 Coordination Committee of Provident Fund subscribers and retired employees was held at the Institute of Engineers, Sector-19 A, Chandigarh. Representatives and members from various states across the country participated in the meeting.

A large number of retired employees from Nangal and Naya Nangal associated with the NFL Ex-Employees Welfare Association also participated in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, National President of the EPS-95 Coordination Committee Prakash Yende and General Secretary Prakash Pathak said that despite the decision given by the Supreme Court on November 4, 2022, in the interest of employees, the benefit of higher pension has not yet been fully implemented. They demanded that the government should fulfill the long-pending demand of retired employees at the earliest.

Executive President of the committee Bhimrao Dongre said that if higher pension is not implemented before the upcoming elections, the organization will appeal to people to vote against the present government.

On this occasion, M.G. Gaurav, President of the NFL Ex-Employees Welfare Association and National Secretary of the EPS-95 Coordination Committee, and Vice President Jagmohan Singh Walia announced that the office of the Chief Provident Fund Commissioner, New Delhi, will be gheraoed on December 15 over the demand for higher pension. They said that if the expected increase in pension and the benefit of higher pension are still not provided thereafter, the agitation will be intensified further.

Vice President Jagmohan Singh Walia, Organization Secretary Gurpreet Singh Arora, Executive Members Hari Ram, Harinder Singh, Satvir Singh, Rajinder Pal Singh, Rattan Chand, Roshan Lal, Manjit Singh, Karam Singh, Surinder Kumar Gautam, Hari Ram Saini, Harcharan Singh, Vijay Kumar, Asha Rana and a large number of retired employees from Naya Nangal were present at the meeting.
