Chandigarh, 13 October:- Along with accelerating industrial development in Haryana, environmental protection and resolving the problems faced by entrepreneurs are among the government's key priorities. Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh urged the industrial sector to work towards reducing industrial pollution and developing alternatives to industrial polythene that do not decompose easily and contribute to pollution. He said that moving towards environmentally friendly alternatives while keeping industrial requirements in mind was the need of the hour.

Rao Narbir Singh was meeting entrepreneurs associated with Laghu Udyog Bharati, an organisation representing the MSME sector, at his residence in Chandigarh on Tuesday. During the meeting, entrepreneurs raised various issues, including industrial pollution, matters related to industrial plots and surveys of industries operating in residential areas, and apprised the minister of their problems. The minister assured them that the state government was ready to resolve their problems and that they would not be subjected to unnecessary harassment. Representatives associated with Laghu Udyog Bharati from several districts, including Rohtak, Sonipat, Hisar, Bhiwani and Yamunanagar, attended the meeting.

Four Udyami Saathis to Be Deployed in Every District to Resolve Entrepreneurs’ Problems

The Industries and Commerce Minister said that four Udyami Saathis had been appointed in every district of Haryana to promote the MSME sector and facilitate entrepreneurs in availing themselves of government schemes. The objective is to guide entrepreneurs on departmental procedures, schemes and other requirements, and help resolve their problems through the single-window system.

He said that providing a supportive environment for entrepreneurs was essential to encourage industrial expansion and new investment in the state. Listening to entrepreneurs' concerns and resolving their problems was an important step in this direction.

Officials Advised Against Raising Repeated Objections to Subsidy Files

Rao Narbir Singh said that officials should not raise unnecessary objections to files submitted for subsidies or other government assistance. If a file has any deficiencies, the concerned officials should communicate all shortcomings and objections at once so that entrepreneurs can address them and move their applications forward. Raising new objections repeatedly causes unwanted delays and creates difficulties for entrepreneurs.

He clarified that the process of availing government schemes should not be made unnecessarily complicated. Officials must ensure that cases involving eligible entrepreneurs are processed in accordance with the rules and within the stipulated time, and that no file is kept pending at any level without a valid reason.

During the meeting, entrepreneurs also raised issues related to industrial plots, surveys of industries operating in residential areas and pollution. They apprised the minister of their problems and concerns regarding these matters. The meeting aimed to move towards solutions through dialogue on issues affecting the industrial sector.

On the occasion, Additional Director of MSME Bharat Bhushan Gogia gave a detailed briefing on the New MSME and Export Promotion Policy 2026. Office-bearers of Laghu Udyog Bharati also presented the book ‘Udyog Times’ to Rao Narbir Singh.
