SAS Nagar:- At the sacred martyrdom site of the immortal martyr Jathedar Baba Hanuman Singh Ji — Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan — the 405th Prakash Purab of Hind di Chadar, Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Maharaj, was celebrated with profound devotion and faith. In the joy of the Prakash Purab, the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji was performed at 9:00 AM in the morning. Thereafter, the entire day was dedicated to religious programs.
In this religious congregation, Bhai Malkeet Singh’s International Dhadi Jatha narrated in detail the life story of Hind di Chadar, Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Maharaj, and the unparalleled and unique martyrdom he gave for the protection of the oppressed.
Bhai Gurmeet Singh Ji Damdami Wale’s Raagi Jatha connected the congregation to the Guru through their soul-stirring Kirtan of the divine Gurbani.
Prominent preacher Bhai Amreek Singh Ji Shahbad Markanda Wale informed the congregation about the 15 Ragas and 59 Shabads along with 57 Shaloks uttered by Guru Sahib, which are enshrined in Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.
In addition, Bhai Dharam Singh Patiala Wale, Bhai Kuldeep Singh Ji Amritsar Wale, Bhai Harbhajan Singh, Bhai Gurvinder Singh, Bhai Sarbjot Singh, Bhai Dilbar Singh, Bhai Manpreet Singh, Sher-e-Punjab Kavishri Jatha, Baba Deep Singh Kavishri Jatha, Harjass Kirtani Jatha, Bhai Sukhwinder Singh’s Jathas, along with the Hazuri Jatha of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan — Bhai Inderjeet Singh, Bhai Jaswant Singh, Bhai Gurmeet Singh, and Bhai Gurnam Singh — kept the entire congregation immersed in the divine praises through Katha, Kirtan, Kavishri, and Gurmat discourses throughout the day.
All the Jathas were honored and presented with Siropao. On the joyous occasion of the Prakash Purab, the interior of Darbar Sahib Ji was specially decorated with flowers. Thousands of devotees took a holy dip in the sacred Sarovar of this holy place. Guru Ka Langar was served continuously and uninterrupted on this occasion.
On this occasion, the spokesperson of the Management Committee of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan informed that special Gurmat Samagams have been organized from April 6 to April 14 in celebration of the Khalsa Panth Sazna Divas (Foundation Day of the Khalsa Panth). In these programs, highly respected and renowned Panthic preachers will daily grace the congregation from 4:45 PM to 6:00 PM with divine discourses. Guru Ka Langar will continue to be served uninterrupted.
