Nawanshahr, 18 March- Keeping in view the four-day religious events being organized at Sri Guru Ravidas Historical Religious Place Charanchoh Ganga Amritkund Sachkhand Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, development works are being carried out at a rapid pace so that lakhs of devotees gathering there do not face any inconvenience. These views were expressed by the President of the Guru Ghar, Sant Surinder Das, while reviewing the arrangements today.
He stated that considering the large influx of devotees expected during the programs to be held in the month of April — on 11 April, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule; on 12–13 April, Amritdhara Pragat Diwas; and on 14 April, the birth anniversary of Constitution maker Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar — these development works have been initiated.
He informed that to address the shortage of drinking water faced in previous years, a tube well has been made operational by the Punjab Government and the construction of a water tank has also been completed. He further stated that from yesterday, the laying of a pipeline for drinking water along the main road leading to Charanganga has been started, which will eliminate the drinking water problem from its roots.
He added that under the leadership of Central Committee Chairperson Bibi Kamlesh Kaur Ghera, Central President Shri L. R. Virdi, and Vice President Dalveer Raju Garhshankar, all development works are being completed one by one by the management committee of the Guru Ghar.
Similarly, for the four-day event, work has also been started on constructing a 100 by 65 feet shed near the stage area to provide seating, resting space, and protection from rain for the devotees. This shed will be completed before the commencement of the event.
On this occasion, Pathi Sant Girdhari Lal, Baba Dayal Chand Banga, Press Secretary Gurbaksh Singh Mahe, Chief Cashier Sant Karam Chand, Assistant Cashier Manjeet Muggowal, Jagdish Kumar, and among the devotees Rinku Banga, Davinder Kumar, Japneet Mahe and many others were present.
