Balachaur, October 28 (Jatinder Pal Singh Kaler):- Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ashok Nanowal raised questions about the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, saying that the continuous incidents of crime, murders and robberies in the state have increased concerns about the safety of ordinary citizens. Ashok Nanowal said the government's responsibility is not limited to making promises to people but also includes protecting their lives and property.

Ashok Nanowal said that when police personnel are attacked and ordinary citizens face incidents such as daylight robberies, the situation becomes a matter of serious concern for the government and the police administration. He said effective action against criminals and strengthening police arrangements are necessary to maintain a sense of security among the people.

Referring to the daylight shooting and killing of Parminder Singh Jhota, an activist who raised his voice against drug abuse in Mansa, he said such incidents create an atmosphere of fear and mistrust in society. He said ensuring justice for the victim's family should be a priority for the government. An impartial investigation must be conducted, and strict action against the accused should be ensured in accordance with the law.

Ashok Nanowal said that announcements alone would not be enough to curb the drug problem and criminal activities in Punjab; concrete and sustained efforts at the grassroots level are needed. According to him, the government must be accountable for dismantling drug-trafficking networks, tightening the noose around criminals and strengthening law and order.

BJP leader Ashok Nanowal said that in a democracy, protecting people's lives and property and delivering justice are the government's fundamental responsibilities. He demanded effective measures to improve the law-and-order situation in Punjab, expedite investigations into criminal cases and ensure timely justice for victimised families. He said the BJP would continue to raise issues related to people's rights, social justice and security, and would fulfil its responsibility by remaining the voice of the people of Punjab.
