Ambala, July 27:- A Sikh delegation, including representatives of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Shaheed Bhagat Singh), met Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini at his Chandigarh residence today to bring back the body of Gurpreet Singh, son of Kirtan Singh, resident of village Panjeton, one of the four Indians killed in the Russian missile attack on a cargo ship near the Odessa port of Ukraine. Delegation member Baljinder Singh Chudiala said that the Chief Minister has assured to bring back the body of Gurpreet Singh to India soon.
The delegation informed the Chief Minister that on the morning of July 19, four Indian youths including Gurpreet Singh were killed on a merchant navy ship in the Russian missile attack, one of whom was from village Panjeton. The delegation has demanded that Gurpreet Singh's body be brought back to India from Ukraine soon. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini assured that complete information regarding the matter will be sent to the concerned ministry today and every possible effort will be made to bring Gurpreet Singh's body to India as soon as possible.
On this occasion, Jarnail Singh Human Rights Activist State President, Baljinder Singh Chudiala Shiromani Akali Dal, Jaspreet Singh Baloli BKU Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Kulwinder Singh Panjgrain, Gurpreet Singh Bajwa, Simarjit Singh Chhachhrauli and Gurdev Singh Ganaula along with leaders of Sikh organizations were present.
