Haroli/Una, October 5 (Rajveer Chopra):- A total of 56 students from Classes 7 to 10 of Dashmesh Public School Gurplah Sahib, Tehsil Haroli, District Una, Himachal Pradesh, participated in a two-day educational tour. The students were accompanied by Principal Dalwinder Kaur and the class in-charges of the respective classes.

During the two-day educational tour, the students visited the War Memorial at Kartarpur Sahib, Sri Harmandir Sahib, Jallianwala Bagh and the Wagah Border. The students gathered information about these historical and important places and understood their historical, religious and national significance.

During the visit to the War Memorial at Kartarpur Sahib, the students got an opportunity to learn about the sacrifice and bravery of the brave soldiers who contributed to the defence of the country. At Sri Harmandir Sahib, the students experienced the spiritual atmosphere and paid obeisance with devotion.

At Jallianwala Bagh, the students learned about the history associated with India’s freedom struggle. At the Wagah Border, the students witnessed the Beating Retreat ceremony and experienced an atmosphere filled with patriotic spirit.

Principal Dalwinder Kaur said that such educational tours play an important role in the overall development of students. Along with classroom education, direct exposure to places of historical, religious and national importance further enriches students’ knowledge. She said that such tours strengthen the feelings of patriotism, discipline, responsibility and respect for the country’s historical heritage among students.

During the two-day tour, the students not only gained knowledge about various important places but also experienced mutual cooperation, discipline and team spirit. The school made all necessary arrangements to ensure a safe and informative journey for the students.
