Patiala- Doctors and nurses have been sent by God in the world to relieve the suffering of the victims for some time in the lap of Mother Earth by making them fully knowledgeable and kind-hearted people. Therefore, instead of their rights and complaints, they continued to serve with a selfless spirit, thanking God for their duties, responsibilities and humanitarian services.
These thoughts were expressed by Dr. Balwinder Kaur, Principal of Government Nursing College Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, at the conclusion of the three-day disaster management, first aid, fire safety, victim assistance camp being held at the college, while thanking Dr. Balvir Singh, Health Minister, Medical Superintendent Dr. Vishal Chopra and Mr. Kaka Ram Verma.
The students vowed that they will always make efforts to serve their country, society and humanity like Florence Nightingale, Gurus and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Bharat Ratna, and to make the youth aware of health, safety, protection, help and care for the patients.
College Principal Dr. Balwinder Kaur said that students who have to do great things in life should feel happiness, joy, satisfaction, respect and prosperity even in a struggling life.
At the end of the three-day training camp on disaster management, civil defense, first aid, fire safety, care of the injured and rescue and transport of victims, the college honored the hardworking, selfless senior citizen, disaster management, first aid, fire safety trainer Mr. Kaka Ram Verma.
Who trained 110 students during the second training camp and conducted various practicals to save precious lives and properties during future natural and human disasters, wars, fires, gas leaks, earthquakes, floods, and prepared the students as the helping angels of the victims at Rajindra Hospital.
On this occasion, mock drills were conducted for the students on 10 disaster management, first aid, fire safety, rescue transport, control room, information, use of cylinders, CPR, ventilator, artificial respiration, etc.
So that in future disasters and wars, hospitals, colonies, commercial establishments, public places, roads should be trained to save themselves and help the victims. The principal of the college, all the nursing teachers, teachers and students thanked Dr. Kaka Ram Verma for his humanitarian services.
