New Delhi:- Amid the crisis in the Middle East, inflation has hit. Domestic cooking gas cylinder prices have been increased by Rs 60, while commercial cylinders will be Rs 115 more expensive. The new rates have come into effect from today and have been updated on the Indian Oil website. Let us tell you that the price of domestic LPG cylinders had not been increased since April 2025.
According to the information received, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has now been increased by Rs 60. This means that the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi has increased from Rs 853 to Rs 913. In Kolkata, the price has increased from Rs 879 to Rs 939, while in Chennai, it has increased from Rs 868.50 to Rs 928.50. Let us tell you that the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has also been increased by Rs 115. This will also be applicable from March 7. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now be Rs 1883 in Delhi and Rs 1835 in Mumbai. Similarly, in Kolkata, the price has increased from Rs 1875.50 to Rs 1990, while in Chennai, it has increased from Rs 1929 to Rs 2043.50. This will directly impact businesses like hotels, restaurants and small commercial establishments. The increase comes amid ongoing discussions about India's energy supply and fuel availability. Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had earlier assured that there is no shortage of energy supply or fuel in the country and consumers need not worry about disruption in supply.
