Chandigarh, November 13 - The Haryana Government has decided to consider the strike period of clerks from August 12 to August 16, 2024 as Leave of the Kind Due.
A letter in this regard has been issued by Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, who also holds the charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department, today.
According to the letter issued, this period will be adjusted from earned leave, half pay leave and advance earned leave.
As per the government orders, first of all, this period will be adjusted from the earned leave of the employees. If the earned leave is not sufficient, then adjustment will be made from half pay leave. After this, if some time remains, then it will be approved as advance earned leave, which will be adjusted from the earned leave account in future.
The government has also clarified that this decision has been taken as a one-time relief and it will not be considered as an example in future. From this decision, the salary of the concerned clerks will be deducted only for the said period and the strike period will not be considered as a break in service.
This order will be applicable only to those clerks who participated in the strike from August 12 to August 16, 2024.
The government has directed all the departments to ensure verification from the concerned SAS cadre officers before payment of salary.
