Patiala, July 3:- For the second consecutive day, Class IV employees (both permanent and contractual) of Yadavindra Public School held protests and rallies in front of the main gate of the school to press for their long-pending demands. The employees are protesting against the management’s dictatorial attitude, which includes the termination of services, breaks in service, failure to implement minimum wages, non-payment of bonuses, lack of fixed working hours, denial of festival and casual leaves, treating employees like slaves, and the long-term stagnation of salaries for permanent staff.
It was alleged that in this school, named after the ancestors of Captain Amarinder Singh, retired military officers use indecent language against male and female employees. There is also an environment of tyranny here, yet no member or Chairman is paying attention to these grievances.
Supporting the long-suffering Class IV employees of the school, Punjab employee leaders including Darshan Singh Lubana, Ram Lal Rama, Rajesh Golu (Rajindra Hospital), Shiv Charan (President), Ajay Kumar (President), Inderpal Walia (President), Harbans Singh, Daya Shankar, Jeevan (President, TB Hospital), Daya Shankar (President, YPS), Dharmendra (President, YPS), Ramjodha, Tarlok Ram, Pradeep, Vikram, Gurjit Kaur, Anita, Seema, Sushila Sharma, and Santosh stated that the remnants of princely rule still persist in this school, where Class IV employees, especially sanitation workers, are being exploited. This matter is being brought to the notice of the District President and the Chairman of the Sanitation Commission, Mr. Chandan Grewal.
