Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 15 April 2026: Constituency MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa sent the 22nd bus of pilgrims from his constituency Lohgarh village of Zirakpur to Amritsar for free darshan of religious places under Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana.
Talking to reporters on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that these pilgrims will visit Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Durgiana Temple, Sri Balmiki Temple at Ram Tirth, Wagha Border and Jallianwala Bagh. He prayed to God that all the wishes of the pilgrims would be fulfilled.
He said that the Punjab government has made complete arrangements for the accommodation, food and drink and security of the passengers. A guide and a health expert are also provided with each bus keeping in mind the health of senior citizens, so that no problem is faced.
Appreciating this noble initiative of Punjab Chief Minister S.Bhagwant Singh Mann, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that the aim of this step is to provide equal opportunities to people of all religions and to convey the message that the Punjab government respects all religions.
He further said that people, especially the elderly, have a great desire to offer obeisance at religious places. He said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann government has received the blessings of these people by arranging the Chief Minister's pilgrimage.
The pilgrims who were excited to be a part of the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage especially thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa for such a pro-people initiative. He clearly said that most of them wanted to go on pilgrimage but could not go for some reason or the other. Today is full of happiness for them due to this initiative of Punjab government.
