Chandigarh, September 27:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday listened to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 138th episode of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme in Gurugram. On the occasion, under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the Chief Minister honoured sportspersons who brought laurels to the country and the state through outstanding performances in various fields of sports. Conveying the message of environmental conservation at the venue, the Chief Minister also planted saplings and appealed to people to plant more trees and remain aware of environmental protection. The 138th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was broadcast on September 27, 2026.
The Chief Minister honoured Yugg Boxer for winning two gold medals at the international level and an Asian gold medal in Thailand, Nikita Sehrawat for securing a silver medal at the Under-17 World Wrestling Championships, and Subodh Bhatt for winning three gold and two bronze medals in international competitions. Nishant Daima was honoured for winning one gold and two silver medals at national-level wrestling competitions, Sachin for winning a bronze medal at the National Junior Wrestling Championship, and Priya Yadav for winning two gold, two silver and four bronze medals at the international level. Meanwhile, Srishti has brought laurels to the country by winning medals four times at the Senior World Championships, while Vivek Bhardwaj won a bronze medal in the Global Grappling Series Wrestling in Istanbul, Turkey. The Chief Minister praised the achievements of all the sportspersons and wished them success for outstanding performances in the future.
Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, Chief Minister’s Advisor in the Haryana Foreign Cooperation Department Pawan Chaudhary, Gurugram Mayor Rajrani Malhotra, former Minister J.P. Dalal and other dignitaries were present at the programme.
