Hoshiarpur: The Guru Purnima festival was celebrated with immense reverence, devotion, and spiritual fervor at the Nurmahal Ashram of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, under the divine inspiration and guidance of the visionary, bestower of *Brahm-Gyan* (Divine Knowledge), and spiritual guide of humanity, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. The event commenced with the sacred chanting of Vedic mantras by the *Brahm-Gyan* initiated disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. The divine vibrations of the mantras infused the entire atmosphere with spiritual energy and positivity. Sadhvi Tapasvini Bharti Ji initiated the proceedings by extending a warm and heartfelt welcome to the gathering of over five lakh devotees. During the program, soulful prayers were sung for the well-being of all humanity, world peace, social harmony, and the welfare of every living being.
Subsequently, the divine *Aarti* and ritualistic worship of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji were performed. The sacred glow of lit lamps, the fragrance of flowers, devotional music, and the collective devotion of thousands of devotees created a spiritual spectacle, as if the lamp of devotion towards the Guru had been ignited in every heart. In her spiritual discourses, Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji stated, “This festival of Guru Purnima serves as a touchstone for us. It offers an opportunity for introspection: have we remained steadfast in following the Guru’s commands over the past 365 days?” She emphasized that true reverence for the Guru is not limited to mere words, floral offerings, or external rituals; genuine surrender is proven when a disciple embodies the Guru’s ideals, codes of conduct, and spiritual principles in their own behavior.
Swami Mohanpuri Ji remarked that accepting the Guru’s words, molding oneself according to their instructions, and remaining firm on the path of truth in every life situation constitutes true *Guru-puja* (worship of the Guru). A disciple walks the Guru’s path with unwavering faith, unconcerned by the world’s praise, criticism, opposition, or changing circumstances.
Sadhvi Manasvini Bharti Ji shed light on the conditions of the present era, noting, “The *Kali Yuga* (Age of Darkness) is playing its cunning game; one must recognize the nature of the times.” She observed that the present day is marked by wars and conflicts between nations, while erratic natural and weather patterns are raising concerns. Social values ??are witnessing a continuous decline. A spiritually awakened seeker, however, remains vigilant rather than fearful or confused by these circumstances, protecting themselves from their influence through wisdom, spiritual practice (*sadhana*), and the Guru’s guidance.
Swami Sajjananand Ji, while conducting the proceedings, highlighted the spiritual significance of the Nurmahal Ashram. He urged the devotees to remain constantly connected with the Ashram, *Satsang* (spiritual gatherings), and the Guru’s mission. The Punjabi *bhajan* (devotional song) "Sab Ne Bhangra Pauna," presented during the program, filled the entire atmosphere with devotional joy.
