Ratia, April 14: Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar—the architect of the Constitution—endeavored to unite the nation through social harmony by drafting the Constitution and thereby striking a decisive blow against the social evils prevalent in the country. This sentiment was expressed by Sunil Indora—an 'Eminent Person' for the CM Window, a member of the BJP District Executive Committee, and the State President of the Dhanak Samaj Utthan Sabha, Haryana—while delivering his keynote address during the observance of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's birth anniversary. The event was held under the chairmanship of Rajendra Khatik at the farmhouse of Subhash Khatik, the District President of the Khatik community.
He stated that today, we are celebrating the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of India's Constitution. He noted that, today, our country functions on the principles of equal rights for all, respect for all religions and communities, social harmony, national unity, and a democratic framework.
Sunil Indora remarked that prior to independence, numerous social evils had taken root in our country. During the era of princely rule, various discriminatory practices—such as the oppression of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women, and the OBC community; child marriage; untouchability; social hierarchy; the caste system; and educational discrimination—were rampant. These were evils that Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar not only witnessed but also personally endured.
He further added that when the country attained independence and the responsibility of drafting the Constitution was entrusted to Babasaheb, he did not draft it for the benefit of any specific caste or community. Instead, setting aside the painful experiences of his own life, he drafted the Constitution in the best interests of the entire society and the nation of India, thereby setting a remarkable precedent. Today, thanks to the Constitution, every individual in our country possesses the right to express their views freely.
Babasaheb ensured, through the Constitution, that women are granted equal rights—including the right to education—on par with men. Randhir Singh Mauliya, Joint Secretary of the Sarv Samaj (All-Community) organization, stated that the education of children plays a pivotal role in fostering social harmony. Meanwhile, Rajendra Khatik remarked that Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar serves as our source of inspiration, and it is only by following the path he illuminated that we can contribute meaningfully to the progress and advancement of our nation. He stated that we owe our right to vote solely to Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. On this occasion, numerous people were present, including Omprakash Samaria, Ram Pratap, Davinder Kalra, Jasvir Singh, Teja Singh, Sanjay Garg, Rakesh Khatik, Raja Kabadiya, and Soni Garg.
