Karnal, November 9: A shocking incident has emerged from Nalvipar village in the district. Here, the happiest night of a young man's life turned into a nightmare of deception. He was so deceived in the name of marriage that the bride emptied his home's safe before the wedding night.
The case is from Nalvipar village, where a young man has filed a police complaint alleging that he was duped by some people under the pretense of marriage. According to the complaint, a few months ago, his brother met a man named Gurmeet at a wedding in Uttar Pradesh. Gurmeet introduced him to his acquaintance Balwinder Kaur and a young woman named Simran. They told him that Simran was the daughter of their relative Jeet Singh and could be matched with the victim.
On October 29, the accused, Simran, Balwinder Kaur, and their companions arrived in Nalvipar village. They held a grand wedding at a Gurudwara. Everything seemed normal, but the story took a turn the very next day.
At around 12:30 a.m., Simran mixed a sedative into the food she was cooking. After eating, both the young man and his mother fell unconscious. When they regained consciousness the next morning, the cupboard was open and ?93,000 in cash was missing. Simran and her companions were also missing.
The victim immediately informed the police. Police have now registered a case against four people: Simran, Gurmeet, Balwinder Kaur, and an unidentified person and have begun an investigation. Police say this appears to be the work of a well-organized fraud gang that lures people into marriage and defrauds them. The search for the accused is currently underway.
