Garhshankar:- On Monday, a delegation of ASHA Workers Union (CITU) in the presence of President Joginder Kaur, Secretary Binderpal Kaur and other ASHA workers Sapna Rani Dugri, Usa Rani and Raj Rani met Jai Kishan Singh Raudi Deputy Speaker Vidhan Sabha and discussed their long pending demands regarding money that ASHA workers' fixed 2500 is pending for December, January and February and is not being received on time.
Similarly, the honorarium given on completion of TB survey and treatment of TB patients, Community Health Officer is pending for 7 months, Pulse Polio, Monthly Incentive for January and February has not been received.
Remind the promises made by the government during the election, in which it was agreed to double 2500 and give gratuity up to five lakhs to retirees. It is sad to say that there were a lot of expectations from this government, but no one is listening to the ASHA workers. They are having to be pushed to get the money for the work they have done and are being forced to hold protests.
Our department and the government are requested to deposit the dues in the accounts of ASHA workers as soon as possible. If the money for the work done is not deposited in the accounts on time in the future, then the ASHA workers will wage a strong struggle. The remaining ASHA workers shared their views that only the work of ASHA workers should be done without any incentives. No additional work should be done.
ASHA workers submitted a demand letter to the Deputy Speaker Vidhan Sabha and reminded them of the promises made
