SAS Nagar, October 13 - Mohali Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi has said in the suicide case of Haryana ADGP Yogendra P Kumar that this case has revealed the humanist thinking of BJP. He said that the suicide case of ADGP Yogendra P Kumar has exposed the double standards of the administration.
The wife of the deceased officer, who is herself an IAS officer, has clearly alleged that her husband took this step due to pressure from higher officials including the DGP. However, despite such a serious matter, the government has not taken any action yet, which puts a question mark on impartiality. Bedi said that when an ADGP is not getting justice, who will listen to the voice of the common man?
This makes it clear that in the BJP rule, the Constitution has become limited to papers only. He said that this politics of BJP is dangerous for the future of the country because it is dividing people in the name of religion. In a statement issued here, he said that people who do politics in the name of religion are engaged in dividing the country and spreading the poison of hatred.
The BJP rule is playing with the sentiments of the Constitution. Bedi said that the Constitution gives the right to equality to every citizen by Dr. Ambedkar, but today the government is destroying that equality on the strength of its power. He said that the BJP is gathering votes on the basis of politics of religious discrimination and hatred.
He said that this powerful thinking of BJP is a threat to the unity and brotherhood of the country. This is not just a political matter, but a game with the soul of the Constitution and democracy. Bedi said that shaking the foundations of the Constitution which gave us the right to freedom, equality and justice is tantamount to treason against the country.
